Our common marmoset with a “naughty” streak, Jackson was an illegal pet who had free range of his household. One day he decided to see more of the world and go on a walkabout to the neighbor’s house. When the neighbor tried to catch him, he did what any primate would
do: he promptly bit him. Unfortunately for Jackson, the neighbor wanted him tested for rabies which means euthanizing the animal. Lucky for him, he had guardian angels in the form of veterinarians who lobbied and saved him from death. Today, Jackson calls Wild Wonders home and spends his days being groomed by his larger primate caregivers and eating as many mealworm treats he can!
