Born in captivity in South Africa, Victor was destined to become a conservation ambassador with an important role: to educate people about the endangered Cheetah. Victor is very social; he purrs constantly and is completely content when people are near him. Victor is the ultimate vampire cat, preferring to lay in the shade whenever possible. He loves big beef bones which are a special treat several times a week. His favorite activity is to roll on his soft lawn and attack the tall grasses in his exercise area. Wild bunnies and lizards are his friends and often share his enclosure. Victor has become a truly beloved ambassador, having raised $100,000 for conservation for his species. However, earlier this year, Victor had a corneal ulceration, which required surgery, his eye being sewn shut for 3 months, as well as lengthy supportive care. He has now regained full site in his eye, and has no lingering damage. Adopt this amazing feline today and help pay off his extensive medical bills, as well as fulfill his dream of having a full-length cheetah run!
Masika was born June 28, 2013 at Anne Van Dyke cheetah center and was then transferred to cheetah outreach in July for cub rearing “school”. She has grown to become a great ambassador cheetah at Wild Wonders for continuous education on cheetah conservation. Masika is a ball of fire when she is out in the cheetah yard getting her daily exercise. When she’s not running, she is cooling off in some shade to relax and is purring as loud as can be. She loves big beef bones which are a special treat several times a week. Her favorite enrichment is to watch the landscape and check out the scenery on car rides. She is a social butterfly making friends with the wild bunnies and lizards and her close neighbor Victor, another cheetah. Her special need is a cheetah run for exercise.
