We went into the cat exercise yard today to play with Siri. She is so funny! She doesn’t like the wetness of the water in the pool, but when her favorite toy is in there, she has to go in after it!
She also loves to hide in a big burlap sack and attack things touching the outside of the bag.
Tiani, our female lynx, took her turn in the exercise yard next. Unfortunately, she is not predictable enough to go in there with, so we had to watch from the outside. She is beautiful.
Quality time with the animals is the most fun part of working here.

Here at the facility we have 7 cats!
There are 3 Serval: Sudi, Seren and Siri.
We have 2 Siberian Lynx: Tiani and Valentino.
Then we have one Bobcat named Cody and Victor our Cheetah.
Our cats are pretty active so, we try and keep them happy and update their enclosure as often as we can. We recently just put in a new exercise yard for all of the cats to play around in. Everyday they get time to run and roll around in the grass and often enough staff members get a free moment to play with them.
With some extra time in the day Kim, a Zookeeper at Wild Wonders, decided to give Tiana, the Lynx, some one on one time. After a few minutes the weather started to warm up and Kim decided she didn’t need her sweater anymore….well to make a long story short, Tiani decided it was her new play toy.
She sure makes it easy to film her. She never stayed in one place long.
Tiani and me have a great and unique relationship. There is no way you can’t smile knowing that you get to go to work every morning and see these beautiful creatures.
Tiani, the lynx, and I started our relationship when she was only 4 weeks old. I raised her from an adorable little kitten. You can’t believe she was ever that small.
Here is a video of Tiani throwing around her big thumper feet. We call her large adorable feet, her snow shoes. Lynx live in the high snowy hills and are well adapted for great cold weather and lots of snow.
