With the heat of summer kicking in, everyone at Wild Wonders is finding creative ways to stay cool! Check out some of the ways that the animals have learned to beat the heat!
Many of you may not know that porcupines are excellent climbers! Here is our youngest porcupine, Snow Pea, enjoying climbing in her enclosure.
Here she is leaving her house and starting the climb!
Now she’s moving on up!
If you ever wanted to know what the underside of a porcupine looks like, here it is! This is the most vulnerable part of their body because there are no quills.
Here is a nice close up of her where you can see her grabbing onto the bars. What a cute porcupine!
Wild Wonders amazing animals helped support a walk for Down’s Syndrome
at a Mutual of Omaha booth on Sunday at Santa Anita Racetrack.
Cezar the Iguana loved being the center of attention while just hanging out & doing what he does best.
Tater Tot Porcupine, Brownie Boa, Latte Hedgehog, Arlo Armadillo, & Kima Kinkajou were just a few of the special guests that were the big hit of the walk . A great time was had by all!
