Our 1st Annual Safari Scramble was a success!

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our 1st annual safari scramble golf tournament! The event was a big success and we raised nearly 12.000 dollars! The proceeds will go towards the medical bills of our 150 animal ambassadors living on the compound. All of our ambassador scaly or furry, big or small, are just as important to us as any other and with your help we can provide them the care they need and deserve.  Stay tuned for pictures of the event!

Meet The Artist!

For our 1st annual Safari Scramble golf tournament coming up this Saturday, Victor decided to make some art! He “paw painted” with watercolors and made some beautiful artwork. The proceeds from the sale of his art will go to Zoofari, the foundation that helps care for all of our animals.

Here are some pictures of Victor making art, with a little help from his friends.

He had so much fun, he inspired some of our other animals to become artists too!! Check back for more fun pictures and join us at the golf tournament to buy one of your own! Even if you’re not a golfer, you can attend the dinner and meet Victor and other animal ambassadors in person.

Prickly but Sweet

Penelopea isn't concerned with her first photo-shoot. Just keep bringing on the goodies!

Apple is also delicious, thank you very much!

Apple is also delicious, thank you very much!

Our little Penelopea is starting to warm up to us.  She welcomed a photo shoot yesterday as she munched on a favorite treat- corn on the cob!  Sweet potato is also a new favorite.  Enjoy the new pics!

And remember, little munchkins like this rely on community support!  There is still time to register for the up-coming golf tournament to benefit the animals at Wild Wonders/Zoofari.

Dog Days of Summer

Well, Maybe it’s the Binturong, Woodchuck, & Siberian Lynx Days of Summer… All of the animals are spending their remaining warm days relaxing like our Binturong Baloo, running & playing in the exercise yard like Tiani our Lynx, or just packing on the pounds for winter like Roland our Woodchuck.  Nights are getting cooler, so many of the animals are getting out in the warm sun early & enjoying their new grasses, like our alligator Cajun.

Get up early & catch San Diego Living (channel 6) at 9am, Big Tommy, our giant African Tortoise, Maizy our Albino Boa, & our fluffy chinchilla Spice will be headlining!  We will be promoting our Golf Fundraiser, Safari Scramble on Oct. 24th.
