Meet Our New Dillo!

logo

We just recently got a new six banded armadillo from another animal facility and he is already feeling right at home. We put him in his outdoor enclosure and I was able to get some video of him. We are still working on finding a name for him but he seems to have adjusted a little too well as you can see in the video.

Check it out!

Naming contest for our new addition!

logo

We would like you to meet our newest addition – a 6 month old wallaby!  She is super feisty and is already starting to experiment using her long legs for jumping.

Wallabies are distributed widely across Australia, particularly in more remote and rugged areas. Juvenile wallabies, like many other marsupials, are known as “joeys” and they spend the majority of their adolescence in their mother’s pouch. As you can see, our new joey enjoys the same security of an enclosed space and spends her nap-time hanging out in a pouch we provided for her.

She currently does not have a name so let us know your name suggestions! Her future enclosure mates will be our two other female wallabies, Addy (Adelaide) and Bindi, which are Australian-themed names.

One Month to go for the Safari Scramble Golf Tournament!

logo

There is now less than one month left before Zoofari’s 3rd Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the animals of Wild Wonders and our conservation education programs!

Come meet Victor the cheetah and our other animal ambassadors in person at the Vineyard Golf Course in Escondido, California.  This fun event happens on Earth Day, April 22! What better way to celebrate mother earth and help out the animals of Wild Wonders?

Entry fee is $130 per golfer/$500 per foursome and this includes green fees, cart, range balls, dinner, & live animal presentation. Even if you are not a golfer, you can still join us for a delicious BBQ dinner and the animal presentation for $30 per person. (For more information go to http://www.wildwonders.org/edu-tainment/zoofari-safari-scramble/ )

We will have many raffles and also a silent auction where you can bid on VIP behind the scenes tours at Sea World, a one-week stay in a Villa in Cabo San Lucas, a safari trip to South Africa, beautiful animal art, engraved Cheetah wine glasses with Victor’s own vintage wine.

We will also have one of our animal ambassadors on each of the holes to greet you as you play the course. Lastly, Toyota of Escondido will donate a new Toyota Prius to any golfer that gets a hole in one!

We hope to see you there but if you can’t make it, won’t you please consider sponsoring a Wounded Warrior by contacting us at wildwonders@att.net.
